Good grief, it just gets better and better. I'd never heard of the tiger-men - this is becoming an educational experience! 8) 8) 8)

Always admire folks who take on difficult subjects and do well.  Tigermen are one of those as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you for your kind praise Ray! :) A comment like that is what makes this all worth it! It’s funny that you should say that in that way as the Tigermen have a little story. It seems that one of our Bengal club members has been after our club “painter for hire”, Dow (a very good painter!), who painted all of his other “Boxer rebellion” figures to do the “Tigermen”, Dow has begged off doing them for quite awhile…. I entered the picture when I found that Doug had two unpainted Foreign Legation 25mm building sets! Yes the out of production, try to find some sets that everybody wants! Well it was just a wink of an eye until I had those sets in return for doing the “Tigermen”!

That’s only half of the Story; I’m doing 40 of them since I liked them and figured I might as well do some for me at the same time. The Group you see is only half of what I painted there are TEN more painted at the same time. I did not include them as it’s to tough to shoot all 20 and you lose detail. I also have not based mine yet….lol! The other 20 are going to use the other Old Glory Tigermen figures with out the tiger suits and include officers, banner men, and musicians.

All in all they were a tough paint mostly in trying to get the “right” look for the suits and shields; I repainted several figures before I hit what I hoped was a look that would not just be twenty silly Chinese men wearing pajamas looking like a bad day at an amusement park!

Regards,

Bill Witthans   “vonkluge”

I have about half of the week ten stuff done but can’t find the “Dino” model!

Love those tigermen as well, very nice colour schemes. I would have liked less dark shading on the shields so we could see the designs a bit better though! The dwarves are lovingly painted as usual but new and cool wins my vote 8)

Great looking shields on the Tigermen. The tigerskin colours are very nicely done as well. The Dwarfs are well painted and shaded as well. Good luck to you both.
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!
