I mean a REAL espresso, the one which comes in a minute cup with 50% coffee, 50% water.
My own substitute at work consists of 2-3 bulging teaspoons of coffee in a small cup, which is filled to 0.6 times its depth with boiling water, preferably the hard stuff you get locally - the calcium carbonate helps bring out the flavour. And NO sugar and NO milk or cream; admittedly, that's just my religion* and not a condition for entry in The Caffeinati - we're more lenient these days.
