Raglan's Cold War Gets Hot

Having served in the BAOR in the 1980s, I thought it would be interesting to start a small collection of 28mm miniatures and vehicles covering this period and beyond. The following thread will chart my progress, outlining the miniature manufacturers selected and featuring the painted miniatures in my collection. I will also write up some scenarios and battle reports from my games.

British Army of the Rhine Combined Arms Battle Group - Globetrotter

As an ex-footslogger, my obvious first choice is an armoured infantry platoon:

Orders of Battle

British Mechanised Infantry
Platoon HQ of 6 soldiers
3 x Rifle Sections with 10 soldiers each
4 x FV432s

Light Armoured Recce Troop
4 x FV101 Scorpions

Heavy Armoured Tank Troop
4 x Chieftain MBTs

Reserve Armoured Tank Troop
3 x Centurion MK V Tanks

Air Support
1 x Lynx AH-1 TOW

What figure size / vehicle scale are you aiming for?

Definitely interested in seeing how this goes.

My first question is about your choice of infantry figures?

Under fire Miniatures are not doing a range, but Bill did mention someone else was and was hoping to be able to supply them. That has gone quiet though.

I think it is 28mm and I think 1/48-1/50 based on this and previous threads.
