How did you do the stained glass window?

Sorry James I missed your question, Zingara pointed it out to me.
It is from my collection (quite large) of 'Interesting' things cut out
of colour magazines. Snazzy shirts/dresses make great curtains,
carpets & door coverings. Any advert for Christmas cards will have
images that will do fine for stained glass windows, or renaissance
banners. I did all of Ian's Cossack banners that way. The 'circle'
it goes into is from an MDF 'sprue', as are the buttresses edging
the doors.

What do you think of the Buchcanons?
Working on a Lowland (2 base) unit next.

A second unit joins the Jacobite 'Army' (Two units = a mob, not a proper army, but it is a start).
These are Lowlanders, though there was a great effort to make Lowlanders look like Highlanders.
Give the Government troops more to worry about.

This is the 'Strathboggy Battalion'  (Every one hand picked)
By the way the name IS that of a genuine Jacobite Lowland unit.
The uniform is pure conjecture from me.

Painted & based, over the weekend, this Dragon.
Bought it cheaply (£2.50) from a garden centre!
It was in a section of childrens' toys.

Ah but you have very nice 'Five & Dime' stores & things like Plasticville.
The first time I went to the states I persuaded my two mates to leg it all
the way across town (it was actually Richmond) just to visit a wargames
store. I really wanted a few ACW or AWI figures that were:-
Made by an American company and bought in America.

Every single figure in the store was made in Britain !!!!
To add insult to injury, they were very expensive as, 'they came all the way from the UK'.

Great dragon and Lowlanders! Tartan seems to be working well judging by the photo, of course I want to see them close up though soon  lol
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Blame the Perry's and Warlord and...   Too many good figures.

True, but there are quite a few really good American companies, it is just the
'postage' across the pond that puts a lot of us Brits off ordering.

They will pass the 3' rule (Look OK at three foot & over). What we need James is a LOT more!
I think if I pointed up my Government troops (Reb&Pats) it would total almost 80pts, while
Jacobites come in at about 4pts. That's a lot of tartan still to do. I will break it up into little
chunks & do a clan a time, i.e. 6 or 12 figures most of the time. I will probably only have two
'big' clans (18 figs.)

In the meantime, just to demonstrate my 'Butterfly' mind... two, well, butterflys.
Broken garden light ornaments glued to pens. I see them as a peril in big jungles,
like wot Digits has.

Nicely painted dragon though interesting pose. It is like he is trying to rather animatedly explain something?

It is like those anglers telling tall tales, 'Honest you should have
seen the size of the knight that got away. He was THIS BIG!!!!'

Agreed, can get a decent Tamiya Churchill for £20 or a really good AFV one for $50 plus shipping, import tax, customs fees yadda yadda etc. etc... guess I'll stick with Tamiya
