Agreed, can get a decent Tamiya Churchill for £20 or a really good AFV one for $50 plus shipping, import tax, customs fees yadda yadda etc. etc... guess I'll stick with Tamiya

Yes it is a shame. I took advantage of a kind 'International postage free' offer from one US trader,
only to find the cost doubled for UK tax & 'admin'. To add insult to injury I had to go & collect it,
prove who I was (would anyone else have wanted to pay the taxes etc?) AND come back the
next day as 'It is not on the shelves yet'!!!!!!

On a happier note today's photos are of an AFV. Solido Soviet rocket launcher bought cheaply off
the internet.  No rocket came with it, so launcher arm was removed & it was done up as some
kind of workhorse for use in combat areas, like Syria.

Useful looking utility platform.  Glad to see there are still a few bits of my resin left!  Thought you’d used it all by now!

Working through them.
Some have just been glued to two MDF Sci-Fi outposts (MDF buildings bought
cheaply off E-Bay). Others are sitting by the painting zone, waiting for odd bits
of paint to drift their way.
Of interest for you, & as a tiny equaliser (for your painting of Nap. Brits.) I am
basing & tarting up a unit of Nap. Swiss, (also cheap off e-bay) I now need
to find out what their flag should be.

I’m not sure if I do, but wait until I’m home and I may have a spare?

First up a Kroot. Played a Galactic Heroes game with a friend recently.
Discovered I had 11 Kroot (bought them assembled, but unpainted at
a Bring & Buy). Thanks to a kind offer from Vodkafan I got my 12th Kroot.
This is good because they are all named after star signs & I needed the set.

Pictures are:- Kroot, Kroot with (dangerous?) 'Blob', Kroot amongst a new
batch of plants (Banana stalks) & the plants themselves.

Some Jacobite wounded (disorder markers).
I WILL need more, but as I have only finished two units & starting on the third,
it is enough for now.

A few odd bits done. I tend now-a-days to have such bits beside the painting area.
They get the left over paint, saves it going to waste & reduces the lead mountain,
one pebble at a time.

Sorry, I forgot to say what they are.
The horse was broken off its base, so I thought, 'getting a drink'.
Now I need to find a suitable rider.
The Zombie, well you can never have enough of them. He was missed
in the last Zombie paint up.
The prisoner & (treasure?) chest are to be plot points for my 25mm
Medieval entry into Fistful of Lead, see previous posts.

A few pebbles a day is still progress.  Of course to keep progressing you have to resist adding tons to the mountain while pursuing the internet.  That is usually my downfall.   lol

I am desperately trying hard to not only increase 'production', but also
decrease purchases. Very difficult if a see a bargain on internet etc.
I must make greater efforts to part with some of my surplus, thanks
for your part in that Syrinx0.
To the rest of you I am open to reasonable offers.

Great botanic creations as usual. You must be able to forest up a good number of alien planets now Peter. Amazed how you can keep so many ideas / projects ticking over at once. I tend to be far more single project focused.

Many years trying to be disciplined have resulted in poor production & pressure.
The last few years of butterfly attention span have resulted in higher volume
of production, & (more importantly) happiness.
Paint wot I want, when I want.

Agreed, jumping between projects when you feel like it helps you feel happier with the end result instead of powering through something until its done. That's when play becomes work and you're glad to see the end of it. Like this nuisance I spent the better end of a year trying to build with an airbrush

Build?  With an Air-Brush?? Try glue, craft knife etc. next time Chris,
much easier.
Folks, having seen more pictures of that I can confirm he does some
wonderful spray work. kyboshed somewhat recently as he has moved
house AND his work-room (basement) flooded.

This weekend I based & quickly painted a unit of Goblins.
Undercoat, drybrush to show highlights, pick out a few details &
a wash. Good enough for the table-top.
