Two birds, one stone.
One friend wanted some Sci-Fi bits turned into scenery.
Another friend was turning up for his first visit in a long time.

Result:-
Do up the scenery & use it in a game of Galactic Heroes.

Oooh, I forgot these (my personal favourite)

I like to think of them as 'Supermarket trollies'
for the Sci-Fi scrap-yard.

Those trollies are cool. Any idea what the source of parts was?

The 'R2D2' tops were resin, supplied by the friend
who wanted the scenery. The 'Raft' parts are from
broken coat hangers. The bits that hold the skirt/
trousers on. I like free things. :D

Well, I'll be... Now to pillage my wife's hangars! "I don't know how it broke, dear! Do you like my new junkyard hover rafts?" lol

My wife is very understanding. Things earmarked for chucking out
get diverted to my Wargames room first, just in case I can use it.
In shops when the assistant asks her, 'Do you want the hangers?'
she looks at me & I get to say, 'Yes' or 'No'.

It is fun (well I enjoy it) taking things apart.
I end up with three piles:-
Interesting = Will end up in some scenery or vehicle.
Functional = Plugs, fuses, screws etc. &
Rubbish = This (often small) residue WILL go into the bin.

Still it keeps me happy & out of mischief.

1) Some old school 40k cases, OK two are just
the 'lids' (bases courtesy of Blue foam off cuts).
In honour of 'Old school' the base is corrugated
card with filler slabbed on.
2) He is thinking, 'If that's the claw, how flipping
big is the crab?' (Found on a beach years ago)
3) Two Oil Drums (well two & a half) in a pool
full of some kind of liquid. Definitely not drinkable!

Yup using up more odd bits.

The basis, for what would become two Sci-Fi shacks,
have been on my painting area for, well years. Now
they are finished & ready for game use. First the
small one.

Thanks Chris.
Will have to get you over for a game before too long.
Maybe wean you off all of that 54mm stuff & onto
'proper' wargaming scales.
