Wow Pete - to turn that shiny piece of plastic into an interesting wargaming item - words fail - awesome is a popular word these days. If I was wearing one I would doff my hat to you sir.

said the man who built three foot tall trees, hates
painting, figures AND buildings, yet churns out tons
of both, & to a very high standard.

David, people in glass houses...    :D

I would agree, if I built 3 foot high trees, that WOULD be lunacy!

Anyway, I like the ship….would not have seen that possibility….

Thanks Gregor & David.

Take a look over at the Build something competition for my entry.
made from broken lawn edging & razer-blade containers. The former
from the garden & the latter from JC.

Some new barrels & pots, made from cheap craft beads with lids from
drawing pins & old security tags. See them in action in my latest
Samurai game using Pikeman's Lament rules.

Yes guys...more (Banana) Alien plants,
Then a Cha-Tee prayer arch from the planet Tett-Lie Max.
OK a  tea mug handle from a broken cup.
& finally a cage.  That was a seedling pot that (somehow)
escaped from my wife's greenhouse.

Nice!

Strangely enough just yesterday I created the raw materials for Prayer Arch of my own as a result of an unfortunate washing up incident. The amputated mug in question was tacky and inexpensive but as it was an ironic gift from colleagues and therefore had sentimental value I had not yet thrown it away. Thanks to your inspiration perhaps and with a bit of work it (or part of it anyway) may live on forever in a new role!

That is like WH40K the theme ride! The God-Emperor of Man always puts his hands up when going down a hill! lol. That is just so cool. Great vision to see that among some rubbish from the garden.

Beads are great too. I need more piles of pots!

Likewise for mine. The 'mug' part I am using on my painting area
to hold brushes. I liked the comment on it, 'Adult-ish'

I purchased some painted (mainly Hinchcliffe) Napoleonic troops.
The hope being that they could quickly bolster our (Vodkafan & me)
Anglo-Spanish anti (Digits) French aggressors.
First picture shows the state they arrived in. Hopes dashed.

Several weeks of remedial work later I have most of them ready
for the wargaming table. This batch of pictures are of the 'Loyal'
troops, i.e. those that will stay with me.

We have two units of British line, a battery of two Howitzers, and
some skirmishers, Rifles & Portuguese (Line & Cacadores, ).

All ready to deal with Johnny Frenchie! :)

...and the 'Deserters'  Those that hopefully will be sold on.
They didn't fit with my plans, but should find a position of
 honour on someone's table.

They consist of:-
Two RHA guns & crews,
5x Rifles,
5x Brunswickers,
2x Brit. Inf & a mounted officer.

Fantastic!  These bolster the Allies no end!   Keep hold of your RHA though…..by time we get any cavalry done they will come in handy no?

Good work.

Nice reconditioning of your troops.  Rather sad they were shipped so thoughtlessly.

I think the sender probably put them in the box in layers,
with bubble wrap in-between the layers.
That might work IF you were moving your own figures
carefully. You would not tilt it, nor shake it, nor kick it around.

When packing always remember these jokes:-
"Tompkins how did scientists split the atom?"
"Marked it 'Fragile' & sent it by Post sir?"
AND
When the parcel arrived it had a sticker on it which said,
'Old gramophone records. Do not bend'
There was a scribbled note from the postie,
'Yes they do!'
 lol lol lol
