love the gloss paint-jobs on the Casevil figures.

Thanks Bloggard. It just seem right with Hinchcliffe figures, Old School.  :D

Speaking of Old School,
picked up some Lammings WW2 off e-bay. The seller said they were from
the collection of Bill Lammings, so might even have been painted by the man himself.

I only had to do some minor repair work, then I rebased them.
Ready now to take on the Hun again.

Just waiting for a sniper to take up residence.

The last growth looks like it will fight back if you pick it up wrongly!

Very neat scatter though.

Looks it, but the 'thorns' are flexible. They are made from 'Hard as Nails' (glue) when I squeezed out a bit too much.
To continue the, 'I don't throw stuff away' theme, the 'Tree trunks are a group of old paint brushes.
(Brushes go through stages with me:-
1) Nice point, great for painting.
2) Losing shape, great for dry brushing.
3) Clogging up, great for applying filler or glue.
4) Totally clogged up, = cut off the bristles for 'bushes' & use the 'stem' for stirring.
5) Too many stirrers, glue them together to make the basis for alien trees.
 :D

Me thinks you should keep horned lizards or some other suitably alien looking reptiles……you could have a very imaginative and disturbing aquarium with all your alien flora…..they would love it! 😉

True. I do remember seeing Errol Flynn doing a dashing Earl of Essex in an old black & white movie.

I think there was a dramatic sword fight in a ship-yard, amongst part build galleons. Must watch it again  for scenery ideas.

With the visit of a friend, Gregor (aka Zingara) due (now past) I got my act into gear.
He had enjoyed playing AK47 during his previous visit, even dicing up a country name
& flag. SO...
I turfed out my unfinished stock & knuckled down.
Minor problem was that on the political flowchart he could add to his 3 tanks AND...
get another FOUR!!!
I didn't have Seven spare tanks.  :'(.
E-bay came to my aid, there was a bag of 15mm tank bits. A bit of a gamble as
from the picture it was impossible to tell what exactly you would get. Might have
included only right hand sides, or all different tanks.
Anyway, they arrived promptly (great) and after an evening sitting and sorting I
had enough Shermans (In AK47 a tank is a tank is a tank, so what type didn't matter).
Work proceeded to turn it all into an army.
He got to use them in three games
