Picked these up at Brit-Con, nicely painted. They were on white bases,
well they are Yeties.  , but I wanted them for Barsoom (VSF Mars) as
cousins to the great white apes. A quick change on the bases & they are
ready to take to the table.
The latest of the alien flora (banana stalks) also joined the Barsoom drive.

When our wedding was being planned (many...many years ago)
we had agreed it would not be huge numbers. I found Helen (now my wife) writing out an awful large number of invites. 

'I thought we were keeping it small' I said.
Helen replied, 'They won't come, but will be offended if they are not...invited'

I am on the e-mail list of Bovington Tank Museum, (Not yet won a ride in their Tiger tank) &
showed this gem to the wife. 'You've got to get it' she said, 'Can you paint the gnome in Portsmouth colours?'  Oh how I love that woman.

He is now on duty in the garden, guarding against slugs & snails.
Sorry the last picture is out of focus, but the dog rushed passed, no doubt hunting frogs.

Joining the 'Rising' of 45 is the Clan Cunningham!
Started by my friend, recently passed, John Cunningham.
I just finished them off.






The figure in the middle is also a Cunningham, so will be joining them.
Many, & I mean MANY years ago, when our group were fairly recent converts to Metal figures. One of our group
Peter Duckworth said what was needed was a metal equivalent of the Airfix Robin Hood figure. i.e. tunic, open stance.
Those boxes of plastic had provided the bulk of our Ancient armies, thanks to people like Bob O'Brien & his series of articles in Airfix Magazine,
'Romans, friends & foes'  Well Mr Duckworth modeled in miliput a suiitable figure. Silicon rubber was purchased and
casting began. It became an unwritten law that at least one, often more, had to appear in any new army.
When the mould started to show signs of wear, John Cunningham stepped in, repaired the mould & got another
glut of figures out of it.
When our AGM approached it was suggested we each enter a figure, converted into...well anything, for a competition.
My entry was that Cunningham Highlander (well my mother was a Cunningham).  It was beaten into second place by
Pete Duckworth's much nicer entry.
