That's an interesting idea.
I don't know if it'd worked in reality. Partly because the Felttner was a little flimsy and an extra 130lbs + on each side might have been an issue. Given they weren't allowed to taxi with the rota's turning.
As a 'weird war' thing it'd definitely look the part.

Although I have to admit it does put me in mind of something from Flash Gordon,or Tin tin.

Maybe a pair of Panzerschreck RPzB 54s or a rack of Panzerfausts. ;) Lovely work as it stands, though.

Panzerfausts were certainly used from slow aircraft in 1945

The Flettner looks great, I especially like the painting that shows it 'in use' as opposed to 'factory new'.

I can recommend the museum in Peenemünde for things like the Ruhrstahl, as they have quite a big collection of items.

Just spotted it on the 20th Century Follies section.

There is a difference of opinion on the price between the above and follies page:

Finally found a little spare time to add some base colours to parts of the bridge. I've still a few bits to make but there's now enough done to post some progress pictures.

Cheers Andy,
It's living behind the chair until after Christmas. It's mainly just weathering to do . The stairs for either side needs a rethink though.

That bridge looks great.  Certainly something worth fighting over...  ;)

Cheers chaps  lol
The whole thing has roughly an A2 foot print and will store all the parts on as near as damn it an A4 one. Which was about the best compromise I could come up with.

I also completely forgot to add some bits of progress on the railway pieces

Excellent once again.  Are you doing the signal box interior?  If so, don't forget to include the painting table...  ;)

That glow effect on the engine fire box is superb.

Very enjoyable thread TSG ! forgive me if you've already been asked, but have you used 3D printed railway sections or done them another way?
