Project Mad Dog:

A few years ago I considered doing a British gangster sort of game... and here it is!
There are 3 or 4 gangs in my Luton area. the first are the mad dogs-old school footy players.
Then there is the Jamaican Slasher Boys and the young gang called the runts. I am also considering doing a Salford based drug gang.

Mad Dogs

The mad dogs gang is led by Sasha Thompson. He has a Turk called Savvas, The teenage driver called wheels, an old poker player called Rigsy and a few other hardcore Gangsters who I have not painted yet.

Slasher Boys

The slasher boys are a Jamaican gang that is lead by De Shawn Andrews most commonly known as Major Dee.
His deputee is Owen campbell-moore.He also has a gang member called Colin Wragg. He also has a few other men.

The Board

Well that’s all for now but i will soon be back with more!
As always C&C welcome

I really like it. Is it going to be a large modular terrain? How big is a square?
Thanks for sharing!

A very good start indeed. What're the building made of?

I must say, however, that the "NO FIREARMS" sign is very out of place in a British town or city. Even in a extremely violent one, as yours appears to be.
I told you so. You damned fools.

it is the only board, I do not have enough space. It is about 2ft by 2ft.

They are made of foamcore with the paper stripped off and i have scored bricks into them.

I do not  live in england so i had know idea. I will paint over it.

The foamcore idea is a terribly good one, I'd never thought of doing anything like that.

Don't worry old boy! The firearms sign is an easy enough mistake to make, especially when you’re used to carrying guns all the time, to fight things like kangaroos and koala bears and the like*.

You will need to watch some of the footy violence films if you're gonna do a British gang project.

A point to make out as well is that gun crime isn't that high in the UK anymore, knives and blunt implements are used to a considerable extent these days.

So perhaps you could have gangs of 20 or so people (which is usually the case) with one shotgun or rifle a few air-rifle pellet guns and small arms.

Very interesting project, I want to do the same sort of thing, but I am planning on using the rules (which the name of has escaped my mind) that were released earlier this year.
Oh yeah, no go zone!  ;)

I'm liking the start. But yeah, definately watch some British footy violence. My uncle was an extra in green street.  :)

4th one is best, the others don't resemble the UK in any way, shape, or form.

Think those damn drop bears would be the correct fauna for your logic.

But here in the Great White North, even us nowhere folk don't have our boom sticks around when the grizzlies and the puma come out to play.

And that better be one of those puffy hats (whadda they call 'em?) on the one gangsta's head. Multi-colour afros would be too much. lol
Everything is better with lizardmen.

I like the first one with the riot police best, but for your game probably the hand cuffs one.

I was watching a documentary last night and apparently dogs are the new weapons of choice for gangs. Pit bulls and mastiffs being quite popular. You can't get arrested for 'carrying' a lethal dog and the penalties for the owner if a dog attacks someone or even kills someone are miniscule compared to those associated with knives or guns.

They interviewed 2 girls who were 15-16, both had staffordshire bull terriers/pit bulls with them and said they would not feel safe without there dogs. Another lad was talking about when he was mugged, his attackers used a knife and a dog. The documentary was about dogs as weapons in London.
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.
