Many thanks chaps! 😀

So, thinking on what’s needed for this. (And thanks Fifteen….a few of your suggestions jolted me here).

A couple of houses / buildings, perhaps a mosque at some point.

A suitable number of archeological types including diggers etc…..enough for say two competing groups.

The sponsors of my dig……shady gents from Cairo, owner operators of “Mr Chicken” looking to break into the big leagues.  I like the idea of a Mr Chicken truck being used as their main transport….but I may need help from someone  with an idea I have for a set of decals for it…….

A few more tribesmen.

Some Egyptian police…with suitable transport…….maybe even an old armoured car…..

A mummy….obviously.

Giant scorpions / scarab swarms / undead priests etc…

However….what I really want is a diecast 1:60 biplane of sorts….but I’m struggling to find one……

There's the Corgi Barnstormers range, but probably a tad bigger than 1:60

I took a look around the web and see what you mean about hard to find that 1:60 biplane, especially die cast.  And I think the Corgi Barnstormers are 1:72 so probably too small - from my quick search.

I also tried 1:56 and 1:64 - the latter might work best if you can find anything, probably a more common scale.  I could find biplanes but couldn't identify the scales.  I'll keep my eyes and ears cued up for this - if I visit my local hobby shop I'll ask the proprietress, one of the most helpful people you could imagine, a legend for the quality of customer service she provides.

And if I've provided a small amount of inspiration it is only fitting considering how much I've taken from your work.

Matchbox Skybusters biplanes are apparently 1/64.

Here is an item on eBay if you are willing and the shipper will do international, east coast of US:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/284248463728

If shipper not willing to do international, PM me and maybe we can work something out - if it is still available for sale.

Morning David.
These matchbox sky busters ranges are available at Morrisons supermarkets here in the uk.
I know, as I picked up two modern aircraft from the range, just this week.
Take a look in the toy section, or maybe you could get them on Morrisons on-line?
Hope this helps.
