Great stuff. That is the look I am aiming for with the Oathmark goblins when I get to them.

Nice painting (and sculpting!), particularly on the Bull Legion warrior's eyes.
Thank you. The eyes are supposed to be gemstones so I tried to make them brighter that they should appear.

I'm woefully lat to this thread, but I love this figure in the first post. Is it made from plastic GW empire parts?
As Von Lucky said - Frostgrave Sonormancer and apprentice.

Thank you. It's a pretty simple method - Basic block colours - heavy black wash - heavy sepia wash - pick out some details.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I think so, but you'll need to drop them an email as they don't appear on the web site.

A few new things:
I did these elf scouts. They are kit-bashed from Oathmark elves and Conquest medieval archers (I think). I like how they came out even if they do look a little bit hefty for your average elf. I also did this Reaper Bones ogre. He looks like a tough sort of fellow with a violent temperament.

Nice brushwork! The kitbashing worked well.

Thanks Rick. I found a few more torsos in the bits box so I might make a few more.

I made some terrain for Rangers of Shadow Deep initially but I can see it getting plenty of use elsewhere in the future. It's made from card-stock and sit's nicely on my new terrain board (see the Workbench page).

I've also been working on some new figures but the majority of my time has been taken up with printing, cutting, and gluing for the past few days.

Ohh, I totally missed the Order Of The Bull chaps.  Nice work.  (I am currently re-reading the Hawkmoon books)

Excellent work, particularly on the printed terrain.  90% of the time I see stuff like that it's rather poorly done and not impressive.  Your stuff looks crisp, clean, and very game-worthy.

Thanks Ragnar. I made them a few years back but these are the first ones I ever painted. The Hawkmoon books are great. Not a lot of substance to them but they are a good adventure with plenty of good ideas.

Thanks Elbows, I know what you mean. But if you take your time with it and try not to mix it with other types of terrain it can look really nice.

Here's another strange mix of things that I've painted during the past few days. The bugs have been sitting in a draw for a few years (they were part of a bug army I was putting together but I lost interest), the pigs are a kit bash using some left over armless torsos from back when I was sculpting with some arms from the Oathmark Goblin box. The undead guy is a GW thing from a bunch of sprues that I picked up recently.

These bugs will be use for Rangers of Shadow Deep as giant flies.

Those bugs look great! I must get or devise something similar as stand-ins for low-level dungeon encounters (stirges, fire beetles, etc.).
