Brummies 6mm Sci Fi - Tanks n APCs
« on: 08 February 2020, 08:30:03 PM »
Received my first ever 6mm sci fi from GZG on Friday and got down to doing a test paint on a Jupiter Tracked Battle Tank (DF-T05  Future Wars range if you're wondering as there are no pics on site).

In the Brummie Verse my 6mm sci fi slightly overlaps with the 15mm but generally takes place beforehand. As a mini project I'm sticking to just two factions for now.

Cheers YPU! This next one's for you mate - Microworld Stahlritter Heavy Tank!

Wasn't sure where to put this guy, whether to stick him in a VSF page or here, but I decided the basis of this project, which will be mostly separate from my hard Sci Fi 6mm project, is virtually sci fi/post apoc/fantasy so it could go anywhere.

I have 4 main factions in mind for now, with a couple of minor ones to act as vassals of the other 4 or mercenary groups/pirates etc.

First up is a colour scheme that took me all afternoon to do. I'm not sure whether I'll have this colour scheme as the scheme for my first main faction, or if it will be for a Minor Kingdom that has been able procure equipment from one of the four.

Great stuff! And I hear you about paint schemes, I took half of yesterday to paint one stand of Stahlritter infantry, only 40 more stands to go XD

The heavy tank definitely is on the softer side of sci-fi, but for those who enjoy a bit more Anime styling it should work just fine, it wouldn't look bad in a white scheme with orange decals for example!

Thanks! I think I may have to get a couple more just so I can mess around with paint schemes, I'm aiming for a knock off Nausicaa background with a light dose of Adventure Time.

Takes place 1000+ years after a super advanced civilization was wiped out by a now legendary event. The survivors achieved tech equivalent to early-mid 20th century but now live in a world where the boundaries between advanced tech and magic is blurred and share their world with a plethora of other intelligent and powerful beings.

Update on the 6mm sci fi front. Finished the Tank and APC company for one faction. These are GZG Future War 6mm (Tanks are DFT05 and APCs are DFC01)
