Posting images?
« on: July 22, 2009, 11:09:12 PM »
How? I'm used to doing this on other forums in a variety of ways but would appreciate a quick guide in words of one syllable for the over-fifties and hard of thinking.I'd prefer to upload straight from the computer but I also use flickr.

You can't upload straight from the computer, you need photobucket or similar. I don't know anything about flickr. Under the image on photobucket you'll find the IMG link. Copy and paste it into your post. I would assume flickr has an IMG link to.

This post will be moved as well, it's in the wrong place. ;)

Hi,

When you click reply or post then you get a screen with lots of little buttons, the 3rd one in on the second row will give you this coding: [ img ][ /img ] (or of course you can type it). there should be any spaces inside the [] but it is the only way I can get it to show without just looking like a broken link and not showing you the code!

Then you do this [ img ]put the weblink to the picture here[ /img ] it doesn't work direct from the computer it needs to be on the web somewhere.

Jo:)

Hello Adey,
I also use Photobucket to post pics here. I use the 'share' option above the picture within an album. In the opening window, choose the folder 'Get link code', where you should copy the 'Full size' link of 'IMG for bulletin boards & forums'. When you paste this into your post, it should work...

My pics are stored on flickr and for some reason they don't want to appear here.  I have tried the url for the pic, the HTML and the BBCode for the pic, all within the img brackets, but none bring the pic up here.  Anyone got any ideas?
