Heavy Metal does War of the Worlds

It appears that the War of the Worlds is getting the Heavy Metal treatment with a very Gear Krieg,  Steampunk look

Sweet! Can't wait to see this!! And, of course, I hope it's accompanied by some awesome models (in the proper 28mm scale of course -- 1/48 will do fine!!) to help us all with our Weird War Gaming needs.
Play the game, not the players!

Wow, I hadn't even thought of the accompanying model/toy idea. Now that would be most cool indeed.
We haul ours to kick theirs.

Looks like this isn't dead;

"Release Date - May premier at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con (July 21 to 24) (as of January 21 2011).  Expected to also be released in limited theaters worldwide (as of September 11 2010).  Or possibly released on DVD (as of September 11 2010)."
per the website listed on goblyn13's original post.

Woohoo
