close ups; really pleased with the way the weld lines and the rough cast surface
of the turrets and the hulls reproduced with mr surfacer 


some WIP shots...

mr surfacer was used to stipple onto the surface of the turret where the metal was cast - to try and recreate that "workmanlike" finish you see of soviet tanks... (i'd just come back from Bovington and had been stroking the T34/85, that baby is rough as anything with weld seams as wide as your hand is long in some cases!!!)

thats some amazing work there, and 1/72 only as well, I thought they were bigger with all that detailed painting, could never hope to match such detail at any scale
