Russia Resurgent Project Update - Russian Armour!
« on: August 01, 2016, 02:55:20 AM »
My Russian armour is done (to compliment my recently completed Russian infantry).  This is a tough force and will be lots of fun to play with!

Pictures up on my blog:  http://jayswargamingmadness.blogspot.com/2016/07/russia-resurgent-project-update-2.html

The update includes progress with not only my Russians, but also my modern French and Canadians.  Everything is 28mm.

A couple of preview pictures (more on the blog) ...

I have a successful print of a Canadian Army G-Wagen in 1:50th scale ...

Enjoy!

Really nice.

How do you plan to tackle the LAV-III?

Ahhh, the LAV III.  At the moment I've got a LAV 25 kit and a Stryker kit from Empress and I'm taking the Stryker chassis and putting the LAV 25 turret on it ... then adding some platicard details.  But, I may just throw in the towel and get my 3D guy to model one up for me and print via Shapeways since the G-Wagen came out so good.

You let me know when the LAV-III is available. It's the Unicorn of the Canadians line.

Battle Rattle? has the Canadian minis, and I was thinking of the same thing - Empress. I emailed them about it.

I did the same thing in 6mm, and it was a pain. Then GHQ finally did a full Canadians line, and yay!

Are you going to cast your G-wagen and LAV-III? And you should consider the up armoured slat package for the 2A6M :)

I'm not going to cast the G-Wagen ... since printing it is only $30 and I would have to spend a lot more than that to build the mold out and the resin would be not that much cheaper ... and it would dig into my spare time.  I'm happy to have the model printed for others and direct shipped to them by Shapeways for now.  If Full Battle Rattle Miniatures wants to cast them and add it to their line of Canadians I'm good with that as well (I'm in contact with Alex at FBRM).

Looking great; it's funny, I was just wondering if there was a G-Wagen out there on the way home from work!

What's the shapeways store name if I were to want to acquire one myself?
