Scratchbuilt sprue 15mm mecha & 15mm scifi Judges
« on: May 24, 2020, 06:25:41 PM »
Hello again all,
Yet Scratchbuilt sprue 15mm mecha ....+ a Card hull. Still a wip.

I simply love plastic sprue. I would imagine tons of it gets thrown away each year.
Wish companies would do something about it .

They can just simply machine rivets on them & no one will throw them away any more,
as they'll be used for terrain ..

Thanks for your comments.

Impressive! Reminds me of the old WEG walkers which gave pace to the AT-ST

Good looking work. I have seen some figure companies that sculpt basing bits into their metal pour lines. I think that is just genius, and I can't figure out why most companies wouldn't give a little value add in this manner. I mean, the material is mostly production waste right now, and a few rivets or interesting details wouldn't be any different from a sprue label that many bits have. Someone should take that idea to a company like Plastic Soldier.

Thanks Cook,
Unfortunately only a few do that.....it would make a lot of sense with the amount of stuff we throw away.

Here are pics of  the finished  model

That's a remarkable and inspiring contraption! Great stuff!
Operating from an abandoned US spy base somewhere in the Australian outback, Miniature Martin produces games and scale miniatures set in parallel worlds, past and future. He is NOT trying to take over the Earth. This time.

Will figures stand on the rear deck? Is it deep enough?

You need some scoops for taking out the trash.

Thanks all for the kind words.

Wm glad you find them so.... ;)

Dan , that's a good one... one of these days I'm going to have a fit reading your remarks. :D :D :D
Great crowd control.... I have finished a law enforcement vehicle similar to that one.. will post pics soon.

Cook see the 2 new pics ... a resin mini will fit & will not topple it ... I also added handle bars so that minis will be fenced in. Don't want to have problems with Sohsa ( Space Ohsa - I'm sure they'll be there also when there are enough humans out there )

Glad to be of assistance.  :)

Can’t wait to see what the big scooper looks like.  Perhaps add a wood chipper on the receiving end?

Those Black Earth Brutes are big. I have them in 28mm. If the tailgate holds them, it will hold anything else I can think of in that scale!

Hello again all,
Here is my take on Judges. ( hope you like the dozer blade & the water cannon Dan  ;D, the blade can be used with warning strip on top or on the bottom )

Mostly 15mm.co.uk except for the robots and Hero leader which are from Khurasan.
All are nice minis but I like the khurasan ones best.
Pity the droids are so small as they would make great guards etc.. though his newer ones
are larger.

The scifi zombies are by micropanzer and I love them .. must get more.....

The vehicle is by a chinese company , left almost all in its original colours ,converted with a dozer blade from another toy.

The stripes on the riot shields are not the same as they're animated in the setting to warn
would be perps.

Thanks for your comments.
