Got my bonus round finished for the Summer Project! Really eager for the official start of it next week now. Let's see how far I'll get with my army of skeletal greeks.

If you want to take a look at the article you can do so here:

I've had an idea while I was brooding over the skeletons...

Greek Zombies? This guy has been hit by a peltast for example. What do you think...more, or abandon the idea?

The whole Chausbunker crew is participating in the Summer Project and this is my starting article for it. Not much to see yet, but I hope a couple of you guys will stay with me during the upcoming month(s), so I'll simply leave the link here:

That's very interesting - doing the hobby as a group is a good boost for motivation.

Definitely - the tabletopwelt forum is participating with almost 150 people this time. Just seeing what everybody does in that time is quite a motivator.

Thanks! I tried to make the base a bit more interesting than usual, as the skeletons themselves are usually rather boring. Might pep some of them up with warpaint in the next regiments though. I know, I know..."on skeletons", but it'll simply make them more interesting. Maybe some kind of ritual paintings to breathe new life into them.

In the meanwhile I finished the first bock of the Summer Project from the german tabletopforum.

It took me a while, but the article for the first block is finally ready:

https://www.chaosbunker.de/en/2020/07/30/a-miniature-odyssey-block-1-done/

In the meanwhile I'm painting up the next batch and have just reached the "brake". There is a brake hiding somewhere on every mini, a spot that'll take you noticably longer or is less fun than the rest of the mini. In this case it's the spears, where I have to paint on fin lines to mimic a wooden look. The alternative would be to paint the spears in a blueish black, like the bows from the archers. Though this would only shift the problem to "Where to place the armycolor". I'll have to think about that, though painting up the sields partly in black will probably be my approach to this.

Some lovely brushwork, here.

I like the cohesive look that you are getting with a army made of bone, very nice.
