My pre-release figures of Play-War's modern mercs. Lovely clean sculpts and very clean casts, almost no mold lines. Lovely figures, if I were to pick fault with them (and I'd be being very picky) then the running guy, 2nd from the right in this pic stolen from 'the mighty flip', has a rather large head and the guy on the far left who's holding what I think is a Barret Light 50 is struggling due to the size of the gun. However, neither fault is enough for me to care one jot. They're going to be jumping the que to my painting desk.

A bag of unbuilt GW empire sprues of ebay, containing a full 6th edition soldier set (with shields and command) and a full knight set (with shields and white wolf sprues) for £12.50 off ebay.

An early Crimble goodie via a good friend in Montreal: Pegasus' farm animals and a box of palm trees, both in 1/72 for the Vietnam table!

3 GW Mordheim Cultists, to be painted and used for the BBEG battle at the end of a modified Ashes of Middenheim.



Any one want to give advice for the painting scheme? As cultists of Khorne I was considering Red... although I do quite like the 'official' red and black colours GW have them painted in.

I'm expecting a few more packets to be coming through the door soon... hopefully including my Hirst Arts order!

My little order of HLBS's limited-ed re-released dinos showed up!

Many more raptors to worry players with; another batch of mini-raptors for the same; a 2nd pteranodon, because flying not-quite-dinos are a Good Thing, and (a bonus, as I didn't order it!) a little protoceratops to lull players into a false sense of security because it's small, cute and a plant-eater...

I'd have ordered more if I could have budgeted for it!

 Got my first order of Twilight miniatures and rule book from Hasslefree today.Great miniatures and the rule book is very well put together.Second order should be on its way soon too.

My much delayed Warlord games ECW order, including the clubmen, the fire and brimstone and the specialists packs (and some dead cattle).

And the folly of the year, the missing pieces to complete the 15mm asterix village, including the battlefield with the romans and the roman camp.

I placed the order around the 6th of november I think. Then after a month I sent an e-mail asking about it, got a reply with an apology and confirmation when it shipped out.

At last, the final few pieces for my Viridian squad: Colonial Marine Bazooka Team and an HGR (SAW) gunner.

I'm impressed with the Urban Mammoth product; it arrives basically ready to prime and paint. At least the few Viridians I have collected so far are like this. Can't speak to the rest of the line.

The Viridians will provide suitable opposition for my growing collection of Pig Iron Heavy Infantry & System Troopers.
