1 old Citadel Lizardman, 1 Ogre and 3 reptilmen from Grenadier, eBay. Another of those lorries I find in supermarkets this one with a skip on it, and a tractor with a spade/excavator attachment and at last a decently scaled family saloon, all from Tesco, all £3 or under.
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

Oh dear, hope someone won't go ape again.... I took advantage of the F-o-u-n-d-r-y offer on some of their range and got a bunch of Crimean troops to go with Sandokan and Brooke, including a pack of mounted Bashi Bazouks, one of French troops, one pack of Turks and two of British troops.

I got my first two miniatures for my new miniatures company painted today and here they are.  These are the picks we will use for the web store whenever we finish it.  They are true 28mm German Luftfaust B gunners.  They were painted by the most talented Jim Bailey of Grindhouse Games who is developing the SOTR game system for West Wind.

Got a set of lovely minis from Brigade today:

The two first ones are sculpted by Paul Hicks. I'm not sure about the last one.

Yeah, its really hard not to start collecting yet another period....

I may have to. Holmes and Watson are the epitome of Victorian Britain to me... and wouldn't it be great to create 'Sherlock Holmes and the Eldorado Murders - The Forgotten Files of Dr. Watson' - or something similar on the gane board?  :D

The U-crew will fit my sub perfectly. I bought the victorians becasue the cads look right unpleasant. And you simply cannot have too many Holmes and Watson.

That's a masterful post. It's almost, dare I say it ... cinematic in the way it conveys the depths of Cardinal Murray's depraved hypocrisy. I think we have witnessed the birth of a new artform here. It must be suppressed of course, but kept in the Vatican vaults for the cardinals to gaze upon when the fancy takes them.

For his crimes Murray should be sent to the South Seas to spread the Holy Church's word. Preferably to a tribe of Melanesians with a penchant for anthropophagy in the Nouvelle Cuisine* manner, if such folks exist.

*Having seen photos of Pete's slender frame I fear that's the only way he'll stretch to feed the whole tribe.
