My Leopold is on the way across the pond. I'm sending our resident "drunken dwarf" a set of Russian command from Brigade in exchange.

My Leopold is in a "state of preparation", ie I chopped off the cast-on socket and will re-sculpt the feet next week, before affixing him to a parquet or tiled floor slotta-size base after painting.

Hi fellow miniature collectors/painters,
just bought these on evilbay for little money.
They were sold as "Rare Foundry miniatures".
Can anybody here can give them an identity/range/name ?
Just want to paint them in the right way... :)

Thanks,
Michael[/img]

The first one I don't know, the second two are the two versions of Lt. Bromhead of Rorkes Drift fame, the one is the film version (Michael Caine) the other the historical one, both were sculpted by Mark Copplestone and were given away free to subscribers of "Wargames Illustrated". The last two I think are giveaways from entry to Partizan, I may be wrong on this though.

the first and last one belong together. "Come back you scum" Foundry Limited Set. They're from Kev Adams

The scientist is also Foundry limited and sculpted bey Kev Adams too. My painted version:

The 1. and the 5. are a Foundry limited set called "Come back you scamp!". They came in a blister together with "the alchemist" (4. figure) all sculpted by Kevin Adams. But I don't know on which occasion you could get them.

"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

@gilibran

you were so lucky!  :?
I watched that auction, but my daughter wanted to do something "only 5 minutes" on my PC half an hour before the auction ended.
So I left the PC for a cup of coffee... and forgot about it. When I remembered an hour later or so and saw for what "nice" amout it was gone I was realy pissed for the rest of the day.    :x

At least it was somebody from this community who got it :)

So, go and paint them well! :P

Lurch

P.S.: You all know how wanted it!

Yes, that really has been a nice amount.
But, sorry Lurch, you did not know my maximum bid. No chance for you...
Honestly, i have been surprised by winning that auction.
