I just bought a box of AT43 Spetsnatz Kolossus . I am thinking of painting them up in Euro Police colors as an Zombie Containment Unit , for my Future Wars project.

I wish my Dalexs would turn up , it feels like I have been waiting months for them >:(

I let purchases get a little out of hand in July.  I can justify any of these purchases individually, it's just that collectively, the combined effect is to grow the lead mountain much faster than I will be able to paint!

The 18 Indian Lancers are to add to my current 12.  This is because that darned WHW Great War has me convinced that I need to field a unit of 30 cavalry.  Indian Lancers were of course the best candidates for filling out, as I can use them in Palestine & Mespot, I can sort of justify putting them on the Western Front, and naturally they'll fit right in on the NWF (and BoB).  The Australian Light Horse just can't match that versatility!

The sheep were picked up because I just watched Black Sheep, and need to spring genetically modified beasties on my fellow gamers in our next zombie game (hah! didn't see that coming, did ya!).  Plus, they'll be handy for the next Pig Wars match between the Welsh and the Vikings.

I had to get the two big guns from HLBS - Dicke Bertha and the Mk V howitzer, and since I was ordering anyone, got Richard to throw in the beavers.  I'm sure I'll come up with something useful for the little rodents to do.

I had to jump on the Rollers as soon as they were available.  I've been harassing enough people for long enough to get some made that I couldn't in fairness make Brent wait for my order!  Two, of course, one in green and one in tan.

Rafm's Space:1889 sale was too good to pass on, so two packs of Soldiers of the Queen (lovely figures, and the price worked out to about $1/fig) and two packs of High Martians to take them on.  I actually got 21 High Martians in each pack (nice bonus).  For those CoC types looking for fishmen, the Martians would be a good starting point for a conversion.  The figures have a bit of a fishy look to them, so simply by giving them a blue-green paint job they would probably look the business.  Just pretend that the flying models are actually swimming!

And, of course, couldn't pass on the King.  http://www.rafm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RAF&Product_Code=RAF02827&Category_Code=RAF

The lancers are from Brigade Games.

And ofcourse, those are just the July haul.  Plenty more on the painting table!

Just got my first order from Doug at EM4. Very impressed.

Superb quick delivery, excellent minis at a low cost, no flash, and ready undercoated. How does he do it? He doesn't even charge a lot for postage. Awesome, yet baffling that he can afford to stay in business these days.

Here's a fun find, I got one of those old Asterix minis from my local store that they must have found in the basement. Its one of the Britons. I can't find any more on Ebay to go with him though, they must be scarce.

They do pop up from time to time, I have more than half a dozen now including Asterix himself.

I bought a load of his painted stuff, including the Inn.  I couldn't remotely paint that well, and they are so cheap.........
