Knight's Crosses for the demo team and the Senior Leader?  Posthumously obviously...

Nice battle and report, very gripping.  Well done!

Cheers guys.  Yup, definitely gongs for the engineers…….the officer probably didn’t know what hit him! Lol

Bought a few marsh pieces from Last Vally to go with pond.    These will be useful for this as well as Infamy.     Jamie handed me a large piece of Teddy bear fur too, so I have no excuse now as I need to make some hills…….something I’m sadly missing.

Thank you sir!

So, one of the things missing from my games has often been height in the terrain.

Jamie game me a fair sized piece of teddy bear fur, so I thought I’d do a test hill to see if it would work…… I think so!

A couple of 25mm hard foam pink boards.    I need to get better at carving it, but it seems to be ok.   I need to bevel the next ones a little better at the bottom.

I may need to weather it in a tad more but I’m ok with it.

Trees sit nicely on it too so yes, me think it works….now I need to make a few more.

Thanks!

Made a couple more.

Quick step by step.

I use pink insulation board (blue works the same) as it is rock solid and good to work.

I’m not making these too high as the fur finds it harder to sit well and at 50mm high, these are tall enough for a standard table.

So, one piece glued on top of another with pva.  First thing is to rough cut your fur to fit

Then glue it down using pva on both surfaces.   I did this one quickly so found using a bit of superglue dabbed on at strategic corners and edges helps too.

I then glue down a “scree” with sand / stone mix.

Once dried, brush out using pet brush, spray with white primer as this will mean using a little less colour eventually.

Then paint as you like.

As you can see, I have three thus far.   May make another one for myself and one for Jamie.

Very nice indeed.  Where are you finding your pink foam?  I can't find it anywhere with the local DIY stores.

Came to LAF to see what was up and my usual visit points were just not catching my interest.  What to do?  See what that crafty feller Digits is up to?  And, yup, he is once again building to inspire.  Nice hills.  Really like the idea of the white undercoat on the fur.  The greens work well.  Are you using an air brush or rattle cans?

Thanks.
