Modern Italian troops Uniform
« on: August 31, 2020, 11:50:18 AM »
http://pippoweb.blogspot.com/2020/08/dipigere-la-vegetata-dellesercito.html

A little pratical guide on how to paint the VEGETATA camo uniform for the Italian army 2000-today.

Despite the few miniatures avaibility :'( and most of all the serious lack of seeing them on any modern game rules (where you can see any nation, but not us) >:(, italian armed forces could be found in most of the modern scenaros where our troops are (or were) in charge of large zones, like: Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Africa, etc... just search Wikipedia.
So for my fellow countrymen this guide is in italian only.
For anyone interested just ask me, I'll be glad to translate it, but I think the pictures are quite self-explanatory.

Ciao

PS: a real life picture.

Nice painting, and nice painting guide, too!  Don’t even need a translation!

Wonderful effect on the painting. Thank you for the guide. While I don't currently have plans for any more US allied forces for current era games ( working on their op forces now) I may have to give that camo to some near future contractors I was trying to decide on.

What figures are you using for your troops?

Thank you again

...What figures are you using for your troops?

Simply, the only available   lol.
They are former-Venexia miniatures (Mark Sims sculpts I recall), I got two "original" sets, those in the picture were painted for a friend of mine he got them from the new owner: Jerwood Miniatures. Raw miniatures are better looking than the the pics in the store. ;)

Nice I hadn't realized those figures had been re-released. Thanks again
