1914 Battle Report - The Great War
« on: 03 September 2020, 06:56:20 AM »
Last weekend I had the joy of playing a game of Warhammer Historicals' the Great War.  It was a 1914 scenario set somewhere in Belgium that pitted a British company defending against a German assault.  After heavy casualties, the game ended in a draw.  The men of the hour award went to the British machine gunners, while the German machine gun had no impact at all.

Here are some pictures:

Aside from the Authors additional rules posted in a PDF for ANZACS and BELGIUMS on Boardgamegeek have you adapted or aware of further army lists for the Eastern Front, or Africa.

The Ottoman forces I've heard you could use the more standard German Infantry as they used a lot of German Equipment anyway.

Too bad so few copies of this game made it to print, especially States' side.
