Mythic Americas from Warlord Games
« on: 23 September 2020, 07:38:12 PM »
I was surprised to see news of this project... whilst I have no need of yet another gam, some of the minis look good for one of my current projects.

Definitely nice to see more of this genre.

I saw that too and immediately thought "I have no use for these, I have no game where they'll fit...  How can I justify buying them all?"

Very cool to see the "unconventional" ways that Warlords of Erehwon takes inspiration and allows very cool models to be made

I mean, this Wendigo?  I NEED this!

They are very tempting - would they be cast in metal or in resin?

The boxes say metal and resin miniatures. So the basic Human types look to be metal and the larger pieces most likely resin which could also have some metal parts.
Some nice figures shown so far. Will be interesting to see what the other two factions will be like.

Thanks; that means that converting the obviously post-contact tomahawks into something more traditional-looking shouldn't be too difficult...

The basic concept was really interesting  - the implementation generally less so. The tribal nations in particular don't do it for me. Luckily Paymaster and Crucible Crush do pre contact native Americans and mythical beasts galore :)
I just hope the later releases appeal more :-/
