All at Sea - Gunboat Mod
« on: 26 September 2020, 09:24:02 AM »
I like others was not entirely happy with the Warlord Games gunboat, modelled as it is to my eye, on a rather clunky textured base and in groups of three boats.

I decided to have a go at changing this arrangement and if you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's

You did a really great job and I admire your imagination in conversion!
It is  a pity that WG decided to cast these handsome gunboats on a so cumbersome bases, restricting their independent movement for the wargamer. They could at least provide the base and the boats separately and let you decide.
But you managed the separation from the base perfectly, congrats!

Thank you.
Yes I was really disappointed when I first saw these models but thought I would see if they could be changed before giving up on them and was really pleased with how they turned out.

Thanks for posting that. I, like you was disappointed when I found the gunboats were on a base. I'm going to see if I can cut mine off now. I look forward to seeing what you do with the rigging on these.

You must have the patience of a saint to cut off all that resin! I’d have frisbee’d them out of the window and gone elsewhere for gunboats...
