Wargods - Aeneas and his Trojans
« on: 28 September 2020, 05:46:28 PM »
Here are some more Wargods figures.  Aeneas and his Trojans this time.  Lovely figures as usual from Croc.  I've got some more Myceneans to paint up soon too.

Here is the whole gang.

This is a pic of just the spearmen and the musician and standard bearer.  The guys assembled with the spears forward look neat but don't rank up very well.  I'll probably do them next time with the spears at a slight angle down.

And here is a comparison pic with some of the Foundry figures.  They aren't too much different in height but probably enough that the heroes are going to look weird unless they should be smaller than the regular heroes.

Next up will be the Demi-gods.  I've got Apollo, Hades, Zeus, Artemis, Athena, Hephestus, Ares and Poseidon.

Those came out a treat!  :-*

I really like the Wargods minis. Yea... they are a bit over the top, but that gives them a uniqueness I find quite attractive.

Good Luck on the Demi-Gods! Looking forward to some photos!

Thanks guys!

I think croc did a great job on the shields too.

Here are the Demi- Gods

These are some great figures.  Each one is a winner.  I think Apollo has such a good sense of motion to him, as does Ares.  My favourite though is Athena.

It is kind of amazing how many of their names begin with A: Apollo, Ares, Athena, Artemis, then you have Aprhodite too.  I never really thought about that before listing them.

Wow those look really cool! I haven't gotten into doing Greek gods yet, though I have been keeping my eye out because I've got an ultra-back-burner idea for a project where I'd need to portray a Hellenistic female general, and really the only figures that seen to exist for that are mythology ones. The Athena figure here is close to what I had in mind 🙂

I like what you are doing here.  The blue's look really nice!

Might have to pick up those Demi-gods, but they look a bit small for the style I really want.

They are bigger than the other figs.  The demi gods are on 25mm square bases vs. the other guys who are on 20mm squares.
