Who would classical Indian Armies fight?

In my quest for a new project, I'm now considering a classical Indian army as an option mostly on the basis that it has elephants and chariots...

Question being, who - apart from Alexander - would they have fought, and does anyone make suitable figures in 15mm for their opponents?

There are quite a few ranges for Indians - Khurasan, War & Empire, Museum's new z-sculpted range - but I'm less sure about the opposition.

I'd say Greco-Bactrians and Saka/steppe-folk, for starters. From what I can tell, you might be able to get it all from Xyston. I wish they did 28mm, because they have tons of figures I'd use for my Bactrians/Seleucids if they did. But you're in luck, at 15mm

Thanks both - I hadn't twigged Graeco-Bactrian but since I always wanted to do them too then this solves both  sides and provides plenty of assorted troop types. Excellent stuff.

I think the Kushans might be an interesting option.  I believe they had some conflicts with them?

There's a lot of interesting not-that-well-known stuff in the mix around that era - remnant Greeks, steppe trash types, eastern Persians.

Did the Indians come into conflict with Tibetans, Burmese, or other SE Asian types?

I assume it would largely depend on who was available, and  what mood they were in.

To the ones already mentioned DBA(3) adds the following:
Scythians, Achaemenid Persians, Parthians, and Kushans. And other Indians („Republican“, „Mountain“, Tamil & Sinhalese), of course.
