Afghanistan - a US Chinook is hit by a Stinger missile, fired by Taliban insurgency. A pair of Blackhawks and an Apache remain on station at the crash site in an attempt to secure it until the ground troops arrive.

The first ground troops arrive in the form of an Afghan Police Section and a group of US civilian contractors, who were working further down the valley.

Taliban start appearing from concealed cave entrances and open fire on the circling helicopters.

Action packed!  :D
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Cracking stuff, I was actually accused of shooting down an Apache in 2006 Kandahar province, I didn't but that's a story for another day :)

Ha ha, it would probably make a decent scenario, I've re-run a few of my real time incidents just to see. We'd been getting rocketed quite a lot so my OC wanted them sorted out. I set up the mortars and was about to bed them in on a likely area when we were rocketed, from the exact grid I'd chosen to bed in on! Of course I gave the order to fire straight away, at the same time 2 x AH went to sort the rocket gang out and flew straight over the mortar line! One of the AH crashed in front of us on the hill near the rocketeers! I was accused straight away of shooting it down, with an 81!!! I was cleared eventually, there's much more to this tale, but that'll do for now.
