A hearty "Well done!" on that cargo ship.  That oughta give your pirates and Seals something to fight over...

I'm going to do a scenario shortly which sees a stolen cargo ship anchored off the coast of Mozambique, the FFL garrison based in Mayotte are tasked with a recovery mission.

Taliban Fighters launch a surprise attack on Kabul International Airport, which is defended by the US Military personnel and Afghan Internal Security Services. The cargo plane has just offloaded much needed humanitarian aid and medical specialists from Médecins Sans Frontières.

Mozambique 2012 - The World Bank has estimated that between 2005 - 2012, pirates off the Horn of Africa raked in between $339m and $413m by holding crew members hostage and demanding ransom payments. This scenario sees the Conlines Titan (a French cargo ship), taken by Somali Pirates. From its standing base of operations on the island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean, a combined arms detachment has been assembled from elements of 1er Régiment Étranger de Cavalerie (1er REC)’s Recon Squadron, alongside the French Navy to rescue the Titan and its crew.

The French rescue mission will require a blocking force being airlifted in land and then advancing towards the coast in a decreasing cordon, whilst a second group of legionnaires are dropped off by the French Navy and enter the fray from the ocean, attacking up the beach 🏝️.

French Mission Objectives - Satellite intel suggests the hostages are being held at 6 possible locations.

Batrep - Under the cover of darkness, legionnaires from 1er Régiment Étranger de Cavalerie (1er REC), advanced into the coastal village and secured excellent firing position. The Somalis still high on khat from the night before, were oblivious to the oncoming threat.
