I like the look of them, they've got the right tiger look, only one thing I noticed that stuck out when looking at them as Rakshasa though...

I'd only noticed it because a game I've been playing recently added a rakshasa based character to it and they didn't swap the hands because they wouldn't be easily seen in the game...and were rather surprised that people asked about it.

Rakshasa's are shape-shifters. Not sure how the "tiger form" came to be so prevalent. D&D perhaps. Never heard of backwards facing heads in any of my readings of the source material.

It's probably due to D&D that the tiger form became prevalent.

I remember the backwards hands from older stories...a lot like several "demonic" type creatures from the forest tend to have backwards facing feet. It's one of the "tells" that someone who knows what their doing can look for to spot them.

Most shapeshifters tend to have them in mythology unless their actual gods.

But for the Rakshasa, I'd love to see something based off of Raksha(sa) from the Jungle Book in appearance

As a man with west asian heritage I'd like to inform you that our Rakshasas like nothing better then to torment us with the appearence of our former colonial overlords. ;--)
