Oooh I just discovered this thread!

 :o Excellent idea!

I was a big fan of Thierry la Fronde when I was a kid! ...and this TV series probably had some responsability in the fact that I became a Medieval Re-enactor much later.  lol

I was too young then to spot all anachronisms, the silly costumes; older people certainly understood that it was a mix of French WW2 Resistance feelings and of Robin Hood - obviously he was given a sling just to make a difference.  :D

happy to see you here mon ami.
As i said on my blog i'll change the Thierry's figurines because i'm not happy with the current one i converted for the purpose.
Look too sad and not very heroic pose like Thierry must be represented.
So i m looking for a new one to convert.

some shots of the gang :

the left one get a new weapon and the other one, a new head

the left one get a hood and a bill. The right one, wear a hood on his neck.

the same figurine but with an original (left) and a  converted one  wearing a hood ;) , armed with a small axe (made from the big one cutted in two) and a knive.

Cheers

Hi everyone
No this is in no way an acceptable Thierry.  Or maybe Jean-Claude Drouot with ten more years in the belly!
Et tu peux rajouter dix ans pour la tranche d'âge des nostalgiques!
Las que ferait un Thierry La Fronde aujourd'hui, seul sur une plage normande à crier ( Thierry would be today a very lonely man on a norman beach complaining):
Mar somes! ou estes vos Engles ? Point ne venez fors nos affronter lor que vos avez brexit annoncez! Si avons gran duel de vos.
And the wind would answer him:
A, thou arte the man in the worlde we stille most hate, therefore thou shalt silent thee or be slayne by bowe shotte. For everyone would know that the power of the old mighty english longbow had recently been restored.

Philippe, 63 years old fan.

Love the fact that the chap at the front is wearing a gilet jaune.  lol

I suppose adding high vis stripes would be taking it a bit far.

Careful there. If he had 40 more years than in Thierry la Fronde (1960s) he would look like Enguerrand de Marigny in Les Rois Maudits (2005).

Hey Philippe,
I'm still looking for a descend Thierry figurine.
More characterful and "in action" pose, featuring the slim and young Thierry (Jc Drouot).
or fit as in Gaston Phebus serie (18 years later)

 ;)

Hi Nervisfr
Thierry has a face that makes me think of some Dixon figures... maybe you should have a look in this way. And use the head with a mediaval body.
Cheers

I'm not in trouble with the head but the body.
Not very heroic look.
May be one of Reaper medieval fantasy range.

Yes i got it !

At least, i found the good figurine to replace the Thierry's one.  ;)

Base on that Foundry Ancient German

Surprising when you look at it but you will soon see that it can be made into a very good Hero  o_o after  a hard conversion work.

Cheers
Eric
