Great looking project. They'll look great when you have the whole army done.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Nic

thats some nice brush work there and nice to see an Euruka model painted up, I don't have any of those.

I do seem to have multiple heroes in the collection though, I seem to have more Nestors than I know what to do with!

Heres one of the Trojan War Spear units - these will be Greeks plus an unbiased vignette for within the walls of troy

Over on the Facebook page I will be chatting about the planned scenarios soon, so if you have joined up and want to chip in with comments that would be great

Nice thread with great pictures :)

Just aquestion about the wine makers and their wine grapes, are these scratch built ?

Thanks
These days it's Warhammer the Old World and Freebooters Fate I am working on !

A nice start to your project especially the chariots.  I have just acquired some myself and wonder if you have any tips on assembling them as there are no instructions with mine.

I'm afraid mine were second hand, so I sort of fudged them together. The side panels have an internal frame with skins/leather stretched over the outside. Beyond tht, I'm not sure I can be much help. Oh, there is an internal support which is supposed to run between the driver and warrior, but I ditched it to allow the crew to fit in easier.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips.  I am sure I will work it out  -  or buy some second hand chariots  ??? ??? ???

The next unit for ProjectTroy consists of two bases of Trojan archers. These are from Newline and they are rather nice sculpts. I am part way through painting a unit of Newline spearmen who are... adequate, but these chaps jumped the queue because I quite like them and needed to break up the routine.

Next up, finish those spearmen and. then, on to the Amazons!

A unit of Newline spearmen (wth a Foundry chap to lead them). They still need a matt varnish, but until such time as the humitidy drops...

Nice, what rules do you plan to use. Do you intend to build a historical opponent.

They are based on 60mm wide bases and the army composition is being built specifically to allow me to play three different rule sets, Fantastic Battles,  ADLG, and Hail Caesar.

I've friends working on Hittites and Egyptians as foes.

These are fantastic! I'm doing a similar project in 10mm building both sides, probably to use with To the Strongest but I'm sure I'll experiment with others too. I've a long term aim of doing a Troy battleboard to play on....but I've still a long ways to go before I get to that!

These are absolutely beautiful though, very inspiring.

How do you plan to use the heroes? Will they be part of a unit or characters on their own?

Will die together in the end.
