Looking To Spice Up Your Mad Scientist Laboratory?
« on: January 30, 2021, 07:27:24 AM »
Do you love a good gothic or victorian contraption or laboratory?

Well ... this might be a good starting point then.  I’ve just ordered these acrylic beads that I plan to use to embellish all manner of Victorian (or gothic) electrical devices, including those found in a mad scientist’s laboratory:

For cages/towers I plan to use cheap plastic hair curlers.  Crazy idea, I know.  :)

Enjoy.

Dan
PS.  I had ordered these other ones before, but the ones linked above definitely look more the part.

Beads look the part for sure.

With the curlers, try and find the ones with the "velcro" style wrapping. Once the wrapping is peeled off they make excellent cages. I used them to make gibbet cages for my Mordheim tables.

Well I’ve made up my mind and just ordered this set:

Now I’ve gotta think of how to build the terrain part of it, starting with deciding on size and modularity.  I want to have the option of using it as more than just a diorama to display and photograph figures. Perhaps I could use it as part of much a bigger project like the bowels of a castle, or part of a sewer complex?

So many ideas, so little time!

Dan
PS.  Here’s another lab option:
