Variety is the Spice of Life
« on: May 28, 2015, 10:18:36 AM »
These models were painted up as a favour for a friend and are destined for the pages of an up and coming Fantasy Rule Set.

There are many, many more pics on my Just Add Water Blog:

It's been a long time since I painted anything like this so I'd love to hear the feedback so please feel free to pop over to my blog and leave a comment or indeed, leave one here  :) .

Thanks for looking guys,
Darrell.

Nice painting - the shading on the boar's smooth skin is particularly good.

He looks like he should have a guitar though  :)

The Woodsy Warriors look WONDERFUL...GREAT brushwork & color choices. VERY WELL DONE!
While I did the Fox Babe, I never got around to doing the Buck & Boar. Perhaps this will inspire moi...perhaps.

Ha! I thought that very same thing the instant I saw it.

Nice painting though! The boar in particular would work very well as a post apocalyptic mutated animal. Where is it from?

Do you know, I've got no idea- certainly not the usual stuff that I paint up  :).

The figures are by Reaper. They are great sculpts, but your paint job makes them look all the better. I painted the same figures a year or so ago and now I'm embarrassed to look at them again! I use them for Broo in Runequest/Glorantha.

I'm sure your friend will be pleased!

Ah, thanks, people keep asking and I keep having to say that I have no idea  lol.

Thank you for the compliment, they're not my usual bag but were a lot of fun to paint up- no uniform guides to follow and all that  :)

I use them for Broo in Runequest/Glorantha.

Being an ex-Moorcock head that's what I assumed they might be. Apparently not, they're something to do with Celtic mythology(??). I really don't know  :)

Darrell.
