Reminds me of Netflix's Penny Dreadful.

Looks interesting. I'm not going to pay yet another streaming fee to watch it though.

By Joss Whedon no less. Looks interesting.

I believe Whedon left and/or was fired from the show. Made me sad he's among the best a working with an ensemble IMO.

In any case excited to check the show out.

Is this going to be just another show of Victorians with 21st century “values” and “sensibilities”, aka just another darn costume party?

Shouldn’t it be obvious by now that not everyone wants yet another modern 21st century story told in costume?  And that some people want an actual period piece for a change (even with the occasional anachronistic gadget thrown in)?

Flavors were made for a reason.  So if this is your fare of choice, enjoy.  I’m just hoping for more.

Perhaps a small, vocal minority don’t want that and perhaps a larger proportion of the viewing public do. It’s not out yet though so no point in complaining until it has been released for all to see  :)

Complain?  I didn’t complain.  I asked a simple question to those who have been following the development ... if they were really following.

Just like slapping some cogs and gears to a hat (or a terrain piece) doesn’t automatically make it VSF, adding period costumes to actors on a show doesn’t automatically make it Victorian (or VSF).

It’s not that hard, really.
