Thank you!
I'm not quite happy with the big drones tho, I need to practice shading of large flat areas...

White is hard to paint, but I think they look very intidimating in this pale, cold look.

Finally! I finished all of my Blackstone Fortress minis.

Here are the last 6 of the hostiles. two Rogue Psykers, two Negavolt Cultists and two Chaos Beastmen.

Nice figures.  I particularly like the blood effects on the beastmens' swords.

I’m resurrecting this thread as I finally got back to playing Blackstone Fortress with everything painted.

We had a longer weekend here in Poland, so I planned a full dive into the game, hoping we could finish the base set. I own all of the expansions except Traitor Command, and with all the extra encounter cards in play the difficulty really ramped up. We also included every enemy type from the start, even though some of their cards normally unlock later during the campaign.

We went through the core game – starting with one regular expedition, then moving straight into fortress expeditions, all the way to the final mission once we had enough clues to chain them together.

After that, we tackled the Dreaded Ambull (which went down surprisingly quickly) and then moved on to Escalation. I honestly didn’t expect us to get so far, so I wasn’t fully prepared – I had to read the rules on the go. We also brought in the new characters from the expansion, which made the start pretty tough, but we managed to pull through. We figured out how the map system works, though I’m still not entirely sure what to do with the Clues – I’ll sort that out before our next sit-down.

So far we’ve cleared 4 chambers and already revealed part of the map. Really enjoying this expansion so far – maybe even more than the base game quest.

Looking at the painted miniatures on the table, I feel they could definitely use stronger contrast and more pronounced shading. That’s something I’ll need to keep in mind when painting the models for Cursed City.
