Introduction!

Hi guys.

I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks now, attracted by talk of the Lead Painters League. Had to register, mainly due to the friendly atmosphere and huge variety of subjects discussed. I'm pretty much burned out on forums and this place is a breath of fresh air.

I got into gaming in 1991, and after seven or eight years of having fun with it I quit abruptly due to being a moody teenager. A year or two ago I felt the itch again and dug out my lead mountain, which I'm slowly going through now, not helped by occasionally buying new miniatures.

I'm from the North East of England, and at the minute I'm more of a painter than a gamer. My main interest when I was younger was Warhammer 40,000, and I still think that the first edition of the game is good, silly sci-fi fun. I played a bit of Necromunda in my time, and I tried unsuccessfully to get the other people I gamed with into historical stuff and the little wargames published in Wargames Illustrated.

Anyway, it's nice to be here.
