Hello again. Well ... as I work through my Buffalo Border Guard unit this vignette was completed ahead of time. This vignette will provide an excellent casualty/morale marker for the game. This set originated from the Perry Miniatures Sudan range code SB 20. Repainted, head swap from the Afghan British Command sprue frame and some modelling to complete this set.

So I would like to share with you this unit of Buffalo Border Guard. This unit took a while to do due to the modelling required on the uniforms using the Frontier Light Horse and other miniatures from the Perry Miniatures range to achieve the desired effect.

I'm now working on two mounted European Officers for my Natal Native Contingent.

I do love the look of the volunteer mounted units from this conflict, even if I do tend to get them a bit mixed up in my head from time to time. Nice to see this project continuing to move forward.

Thanks, yes the volunteers do look lovely. Mind you Dylan a pain to make buttons and trefoils for these miniatures in the main. Four miniatures with different legs and torsos. Majority with head swaps. Still... worth the extra effort.
