Newcastle Mounted Rifles in the dismounted role. Once again some modelling was required on all of them in addition Captain Robert Bradstreet is of five parts. Plastic right arm and sword. Separate head and upper body and lower legs.

The troopers and sergeant are just heads swaps on Frontier Light Horse bodies.

Thank you for looking.

Cheers,
Helen

Thank you for your kind words. Melville comes with a three box plastic British deal from Perry Miniatures. Coghill is a miniature conversion from the same company and using the Col Pearson miniature.

Cheers,
Helen

Smart. I must say I like the way you have been doing your bases. I am a fan of the various tufts and flowers available out there these days, but I tend to be quite skinny with them. A tuft here, some flowers there. Not sure if it is laziness or just me being a skinflint and wanting to make them go further (and perhaps a slight fear of overdoing it), but I think you have shown that going all-in with them really can look good.

Thanks Nick and Dylan for your kind words.

I should have mention that I'm using the Perry Miniatures Rorkes Drift personalities for other purposes. This fellow here started off as Private Robert Jones. I replaced his head with a plastic head with helmet. There is a striking similarity to Michael Caine in facial features.

I do intend to go through alot of tufts in my basing.  :)

I painted these fine chaps sometime ago. Some modelling required. The Perry plastics (bugler and casualty)are okay. This is me who vowed never to touch plastics. Michael Perry would be pleased to hear this. Pleased how the bugler turned out as there is no band member in the Perry Miniatures range except for the arm holding the bugle in the plastics range. Disappointed with the mounted chap as it was a real hash job. Applied some facial hair with putty. Need to go back and paint some socks on the horse and bridge of nose.

Why is it you can never find a uniform book that shows both back and front of a uniform? Take a British officer for example. You find out from other sources what the back of their tunic looks like. Anyhow, I'm probably talking flannel.

Peter Callan my friend is working on my Zulu Regiments. I do have the Zulu command Peter has painted for me to show you in the coming week or so.

I'm currently modelling a NNC European officer and Army Hospital Corps private.  The dismounted Buffalo Border Guard are now undercoated after some modelling and are ready for some paint in the coming weeks.

I've ran out of wild grass, so I'm awaiting resupply.

Thanks for looking.
