Mine is now sent in. Unfortunately I ended up really busy during much of the competition build time, but it was still a lot of fun anyway.

Ahem...first time here, checking one thing before taking the photos (which I think I'll be able to do tonight). I found this discussion:

What I tried to convey is that the first rounds should be focused on Difficult Terrain and Difficult terrain only.

So, just the newly built item then and a plain background?

Yes.

What count as plain background? White table? Brown table? Flat-coloured cloth? Felt-like gaming mat (no print)? I can do any of those, no problem. I'm just considering the options because my entry consists of multiple pieces and something with a tone and texture closer to the final tabletop environment could be more illustrative and/or easier on the eyes than pure white. Maybe. Any preferences?

@dolmont while I’m no expert and this being my first BSC entry, i used a gray bed sheet for the background and a plain grass mat for my final photo. I think the intent here is to focus on the new pieces and not showcase any other works. Oh and only a single figure for scale.  I haven’t heard anything so I might be wrong too.  Better to submit something that might be wrong than not submit anything.  Best of luck.

First photo sent. A single image 1000 by 1000 pixels isn't very big, and my Dark Pool of Dark Darkness is only about 12x10", a bit bigger than a standard sheet of Letter or A4 paper. Can't imagine what you folks doing huge whole-table projects had to get up to to fit things in!

I'll definitely be shooting more and different photos as the BSC rounds roll on, so I can showcase different areas of the build, mostly because I'm very pleased with the various textures of the scruffy ground cover I've achieved on this.

Onward to the actual contest!

You are quite right. What I am looking for is a neutral background which does not distract or enhance the actual build.

Amen to that.
I (think) I have sent in my entry, though I could not get it to resize
(I do not do anything technical well).
I also couldn't get the link to work (for sending the picture) so I have
e-mailed it instead.
If I have done wrong I apologise.
