Getting excited & making jokes about dropping Nepalm on little Asian Children in a Viet' village doesn't make it ok just because 'it's wargaming & not real'. You wanker scum need to look again at the real photographic horror of such chemical weapons. Seriously Disgusting mind set amongst some you.

Cracking mate! With a lot of red gore painted on there and some after-after-battle stragglers, you are going to be able to get some great theatrical shots. Going to copy any scenes from the programme?

A really interesting idea, and your test piece looks excellent!

I hope you haven’t picked The Battle of the Bastards for your inspiration; that’s an awful lot of bodies to sort out  lol

What a horrible battle field stew that was! When Ramsay Bolton gets his comeuppance after the battle is one of my favorite scenes of the whole series.

Pull this one off, Akula, and I wager you will have a serious top contender.

They look like a dogs breakfast, which given the role of Bolton is most apt.

Thanks everyone for your comments, much appreciated.

 :)

Will this remain a test piece, of will you incorporate it into the larger whole?

It will potentially be one of up to 16 “components” that get added onto the bases...unless I sculpt something better...dependent upon time.

Going to copy any scenes from the programme?

Nothing specific in mind, just the general sense of destruction and loss.

 lol

True, especially as my painting is as “imprecise” as my sculpting.....maybe I’ll just cover it in snow and call it a day.

Had a bit of time today to work on a second “component” today....roughly a similar size to the test-piece.

Managed to get another couple of quick pieces finished

The fallen knight is a mix of 3 perry kits, plus a metal crooked dice head, and a bit of green stuff of course.

I’m also thinking about having some minor water features - the unfortunate archer is based on a perry sprue.

Made a rough looking crossbow for him, as I don’t really like the perry ones for some reason I can’t explain, plus it helps to keep the part count down.

As mentioned previously the advantage of making individual “components” is that I can swop them around a bit before I attach them to the bases permanently. It also means that I can create some natural looking pathways through the base, as I’m mindful of the following excerpt from the rules....not sure I want to risk balancing figures on top of a mountain of corpses, so this seems the safer way to go
 :)

make sure it is a practical gaming piece; even though it may be rough ground or water you should be able to place miniatures on it.
