The Crisis give- away figure in glorious colour.

Sculpted by the grandmaster himself ;Paul Hicks
Inspired by the wonderful Spanish Civil War range by Nigel Higgins
Cast by the best; Griffin Moulds
Painted by maestro Andrew Taylor

How can you go wrong?

I give you Baron Rodolphe de Grunne de Hemricourt, Belgian air ace, who flew during the Spanish Civil War, the invasion of Belgium in 1940 and in the Royal Air Force during WWII.

That is a lovely figure.  :-*

Looks like he hasn't slept since the Spanish war either. Great painting.

A small question:
Which side he fought for, during SCW.

He joined the Falangue as an infantryman but got wounded. In hospital they found out he was a qualified pilot and the rest is history.

Being a Baron I thought so.

He did the right thing in the end. flying against the Luftwaffe for the RAF.

There are some great aces in the SCW, and quite a few of the WW2 ones learnt the ropes there.
