Hmm.. I’ve noted tendency for PTIs to be prematurely balding. Do you think it was steroid abuse? We had a particularly stupid one who would preface every instruction or statement with ‘I will not repeat myself’ before doing exactly that and repeating himself.

 lol

"Twenty times round my beautiful body! Go!"  ::)

We had one on Mountain Leader training who would always point at things through the medium of a bicep-curl.

As my thread looks in danger of disappearing off in another direction entirely, I thought I’d better post another update quick  ;) lol

I’ve converted some Perry Sudan figures by giving them a headswop with some Outpost police officers, to create what I hope looks like some ambulance/stretcher bearers.

The ambulance is a diecast ...strictly speaking the ambulance in question would be out of date by that point, but again I’m working on the basis that most of the major hospitals will have been hit, so it’s a case of whatever can be brought back into service.

It could have even been based out at a village station somewhere, as a vaguely related example there's a local-ish village fire station that has an old fire engine as it's the only one that'll fit in the building, even then they have to park it at a very specific angle to get the door shut.

A out of date ambulance is better then no Ambulance.  :D

Nice!

St John's Ambulance are a private charity who do first aid for events and aren't affiliated to the NHS ambulance service.  In fact each individual St John's unit is a charity in its own right, so they would have whatever they could afford and your ambulance is therefore perfect for the St John's Ambulance of the 1980s (and probably even the 90s)! :)

My local lot have only just retired a 1980s-vintage LDV Sherpa and 1970s-vintage Series 2 Land Rover, so your 1960s/70s ambulance is practically the white-heat of new technology by comparison.

Managed to finish a second Empress Land Rover today.

Rather than equipping it with another Wombat, I’ve used a couple of GPMGs left over from my Apocalypse Isle Project.

Groups shots with the first Landie

The ambulance crew sure look the part, and the Land Rovers look good too.  Nice progress on your project so far!

Dunno whether you’ve seen these:

https://www.crusaderminiatures.com/prod.php?prod=1158

Came as a revelation to me. I was poking around on their site looking for something completely different. There’s of useful figures in there with ‘80# era weapons like SLRs and what might be an FN FNC.
