Lovely stuff!
I see you have modelled them as "Armour Threat" Sections (a "squad" in the British army has a different meaning).
In the 80s our Light Role Rifle Sections (No Armor Threat) were composed:
Rifle Group
1× Section Commander, Corporal, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle
4× Riflemen, Private, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle and 1 L1A1 Rocket (M72 LAW) each
Gun Group
1× Section Second-in-Command, a Lance Corporal, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle
1× GPMG No. 1, Private, armed with 1 L7A2 General-Purpose Machine Gun
1× GPMG No. 2, Private, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle
Various organisations were tried after the Falklands War including the addition of a L4A2 or L4A4 LMG in place of one SLR in Rifle sections.
Platoon Headquarters (1 Officer and 5 OR) (very rarely an additional private with SLR was added as a "Runner" or he was detached from a section)
1× Platoon Commander, Second Lieutenant to Lieutenant, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle or sometimes 1 L2A3 Submachine Gun
1× Platoon Sergeant, Sergeant, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle
1× Signaller, Private, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle or 1 L2A3 Submachine Gun (if he was lucky)
1× Light Mortar No. 1, Lance Corporal, armed with 1 2-inch mortar and 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle
1× Light Mortar No. 2, Private, armed with 1 L1A1 SLR Rifle
Each SLR had nominally 100 rounds in 5 magazines (1 on SLR & 4 in pouches) though 4 was more usual.
Additional ammunition was carried in cloth bandoliers of 50 rounds.
Each SMG had 96 rounds in 3 magazines.
2" mortar had 18 bombs distributed amongst the platoon.
Each GPMG gunner had 200 rounds as did his No2. Each rifleman also carried a 50 round bely for GPMG
Most carried 2 HE grenades unless carrying MAW, LAW, radio, 2" mortar then only 1 grenade. Smoke (WP & coloured) was issued as required by mission.
The MAW No1 had 3 rounds in a carrier and his No2 had 6 rounds. Depending on threat more could be distributed amongst the sections.
