Help to find a 28mm Roman figure

Your figures arrived yesterday. Whilst I'm at loose end this afternoon I threw some clay at them.Theyre only at the first fix stage. Infact theyre still wet.
I thought I might as well post some progress pic's , rather than just pm you that they arrived okay.

I've had to use two different styles As both the figure are different sizes. I've re-sized the hands ,arms,and feet . Also the cape. As it ends in the most peculiar fashion ,In a completely flat panel behind and under the left arm.
I've just the foot figure to tweak. (The legs and right hand especially.)

To be honest .I just sat on the sofa put Chelmsford 123 on ( for inspiration ) and pushed clay. By the start of the third episode I was sat with a glass and chuckling away.

I've shortened the legs ( to match the head and re aline the hips so they are inside the width of the shoulders).  Widened the torso under the arm. Raised the right shoulder. Re aligned the right arms profile to match the line of the armour. Reworked the hands. Followed the lines of the original cape, and enlarged the area to hide a strengthening panel as part of the cape.( to support the pinning of the legs.)
Sounds a lot but its just a few small of clay put on an existing figure

Looks splendid - and since I am a short a@*e anyway the figure looks much more like me!

My little Roman general arrived today.  I am thoroughly delighted.
Now to paint him (me?) and give him (me?) a Latin name.  Since he (I) sports a moustache he is (I am) probably a Romano-Gaul or Briton.

Hmm... Well, if you're going for a good old fashioned "three named" Roman, you have your pick of like  a dozen "praenomina" (Marcus, Lucius, Gaius, etc.). Your second two names tend to be more descriptive, so why not something like Marcus Brittunculus Barbatus? The Vindolanda tablets refer to the Brittunculi, and Barbatus just described someone with noteworthy facial hair

Alanus Brittunculus Argentibarbus (my attempt at latinising - Alan the White haired Briton or someting like that.



He now commands my Legio VI Victrix and Auxiliaries - Seen here with his personal bodyguard (probably British Nobles)
