I know lots of multi-legged sci-fi bots but nothing like these. I wouldn't call them spiders...ants or wasps would be closer? If the supplied number of legs and the catalogue are both correct, all units described as "4-legged" should be ruled out...although who knows if there were originally 3 bodies and 12 legs? Creeper, crawler, crab or even insectoid walker could be worth checking.
But as you may have noticed, the problem is that there are no pics of those on Lost Minis, and it seems that photos of anything from Ahketon are extremely few and far between. Of course, if the company folded in the mid-90s, not too many digital photos of their minis were posted on blogs back then.
Nevertheless, if you really want to follow that path, there are a few options:
- Ahketon was in Philadelphia, NY. Acheson is in Rochester, NY. I don't know if there's any direct connection, but the latter acquired at least some of the models of the former and started adding them to their web store in the early 00s (as Arrow Miniatures). Acheson looks active even today, thus you could ask them?
- Ahketon did release catalogues (see Lost Minis and Noble Knight). Someone out there has them? Are there any pictures? Even drawn ones would probably do.
- The pics of Galactic Wars packs were added on Lost Minis by someone called...The Dozing Dragon. Did I see him posting in this very thread recently?
Do you know something we don't?
